An efficient condensing algorithm for fast closed loop dual‐mode nonlinear model predictive control

This paper presents a novel computationally efficient Closed Loop Dual-Mode Nonlinear Model Predictive Control scheme that uses closed loop models for condensing-based multiple-shooting frameworks which result in numerically robust optimisations. The proposed approach Time-Varying gains obtained from solving the Discrete Algebraic Ricatti Equation to embed feedback around trajectory, and proves equivalence of solution with standard approach, thus resulting exact same stability, recursive feasibility convergence properties. Moreover, proposes an algorithm based on extension well-known O ( N p 2 ) $O(N_p^2)$ condensing algorithm, can be used within so-called Real-Time Iteration Scheme achieve real-time performance.
